Our Smart Toddler Boy!

Carson Dean, you are now 18 months old. You are developing so much everyday. Your vocabulary is blossoming! You now repeat almost anything and say so many things on your own. You say, "momma, dada, pop, GiGi, Nonnie, mawmaw, pawpaw, mammaw, papa dean, ball, baby, hi, hey, byebye, milk, aqua, eyes, ears, nose, toes, hold me, hohoho". You repeat anything, "Hoppy Ne Yea (Happy New Year)". You know several animal sounds, rooster..."doo doo", cat..."eoww", dog "ooo ooo", cow "moooo", horse..."eighhhh", duck "ack ack". You love to say the names of your friends and teachers at school. If we mention one of them, you will repeat it many times, especially if you know we are headed to school. (Leah "eah", Ms. Claudia "audia", Ms. Lorana "ana", Emily "emmy", Andrew "andew", Jacob "acob").

You are becoming so independent. Daddy and I ask you to go get something and you do it (diaper, cup, toys). You love to "clean" house with your own swiffer and vaccum.

You are a HAM! You love you show off and be silly. You love to make silly faces, puckering your lips and squishing up your nose while closing your eyes.

You are a DANCER! We have NO idea were you got those genes! But you absolutely LOVE to dance. When a song comes on the TV, radio, in a restaurant or store, you are grooving right away. It is too cute.

You have recently developed an interest in TV. You actually point and say "T.B." often now. You are only allowed to watch 1-2 shoes a day. You like Sesame Street especially "Elmo" and Dinousar Train. You have a DVD player in the car that you have enjoyed watching on our recent Christmas/New Year's trips to Nonnie's and GiGi and Pop's.

All THINGS BOY

Carson is 16 1/2 months now. He is a little "shadow". Always behind or beside his daddy and I mimicking our every move. He has really taken to doing chores around the house. He loves the swiffer or swiffer duster (more his size). I think he could "clean" for hours. He swiffers the floor, tables, walls....pretty much anything he can reach. Do you think this meticulous cleaning will stick around as he gets older?? I am not getting my hopes up...as he is a BOY...thru and thru.

As far as BOYS are concerned, he loves ALL things BOY! Carson has really starting to enjoy playing ball! He can throw the ball (kid size baseball, football) straighter than I can. AND he has learned to catch the ball too. October 30th (the weekend we moved), his Uncle Jess, Daddy, and Kyle taught him to "catch". He picked it up quickly. Within 2 days, he was in "ready" position and catching on his own. Personally, i believe he is a RISING STAR! He really has MAD SKILLS! I think he will be a professional athelete someday!

Being "Pushed" by a Girl!

Brenna Callander pushing Carson around the house!

Something to think about...

I read today a quote..."Your evidence that you are filled with the spirit is that Jesus becomes everything to you. You see Him. You are occupied with Him. You are fully satisfied with Jesus...." - L.L. Letgers.
Made me think.... Am I "fully satisfied" with Jesus?? Not people, things, money, this world. But Jesus Christ ALONE. Lord, make that real in me today. Let that be true for my family.

Ready for School

My HANDSOME 15 1/2 month old boy!
We have a little more growing to do before we fit well in our warm clothes.

Forward Facing Carseat

Today we decide to try the carseat facing forward for the first time. Carson is 15 1/2 months and getting bored in the backseat these days. Last night, Daddy turned the carseat around in both of our cars. So this morning, Carson rode to my doctors appointment and seemed to enjoy it all the way. We went and met Joseph for lunch, and on the way home Carson was quiet, but happy all the way. UNTIL....we turning into our neighborhood! I heard, cough...and well let's just say it was an eventful afternoon. All is well and we are all cleaned up. Let's just hope we don't have car-sickness!
